Immediately after the tournament in Spain, Czech professional Klára Davidson Spilková had a demanding night journey north to Deauville across France. From Thursday, September 25, she will play a three-day Ladies European Tour event called the Lacoste Ladies Open de France at the Barrière de Deauville golf resort on the shores of the English Channel.
“I’m happy that my game in Spain was consistent and getting better round by round, which is always a good sign and a harbinger of the next tournaments. The trip to France was a bit demanding and I only had about three hours of sleep. In the end, we didn’t go out on the course on Monday and saved an 18-hole practice round for Tuesday. It was noticeably cooler than in Alicante, but that’s probably true for the whole of Europe. The weather here by the sea is changeable, with occasional wind or rain. But the forecast says that the conditions should be favorable during the tournament. I remember the course well from last time and I was looking forward to the atmosphere and surroundings here, which are always nice and beautiful.”
Before flying to India, Davidson Spilkova has a business trip to Germany, so she will only be able to watch the Ryder Cup weekend on the TV in the hotel.
“I won’t be home on Sunday. I have to stop in Germany for a photo shoot before returning to Prague, and I hope that I will find not only free time at the hotel, but also a TV on which to watch the Ryder Cup. I will definitely be rooting for Europe! It won’t be in the comfort of my own home, but I won’t miss this golf holiday.”
Davidson Spilková will start the tournament on Thursday, September 25th from hole no. 10 at 8:51 a.m. together with South African Cassandra Alexander and Singaporean Shannon Tan.
