The KPMG Women’s Irish Open in Maynooth, Ireland, was the last event for Czech professional Klára Davidson Spilková before her 4-week summer break. On the par-73 O’Meara course, which belongs to the Carton House hotel complex, she played four solid rounds and, with a total score of two shots under par, finished in tied 37th place, which will mean maintaining her position in the year-round Order of Merit ranking.

“Ultimately, I’m happy with my game. I played solidly and consistently, but I guess everything still needs to settle down. I didn’t make many putts this week, so it was hard to score very low. Only in the last round did I manage to convert a few. Overall I’m patient and I’m happy that my game is moving in the right direction – it’s getting better every week. It was much windier in Ireland this year, so the first two days were harder and much more challenging than usual.”

Davidson Spilková is now taking a month off from the tournament season, which she will spend partly on a short vacation and then preparing for the second part of this year’s long season.

“Now I have some time off, a few days off and preparation for the next tournaments. I should be back in London for the PIF London Championship on August 8th, which is almost four weeks away. I need to take a longer break now and gain strength for the second half of the season, which will be very important for me.”

The Ladies European Tour tournament calendar has slowly moved into its second half. There are thirteen tournaments left to play and the players still have a lot of traveling around the world ahead of them. The remaining tournaments, in addition to Europe, will be held in the United States, India, Taiwan and China. The last tournament of the year will be the Andalucía Open de España from November 27-30, 2025.
