Prague, December 2, 2025

The Ladies European Tour season is over. Czech professional player Klára Davidson Spilková entered it in February with uncertainty, on a health exemption after a long break due to injury, and had only six tournaments to ensure her participation in tournaments for the rest of the year. In the end, she performed well enough to compete in 17 tournaments altogether, and attained a final position of 62nd on the annual Order of Merit ranking, securing her full position for the 2026 season. She also managed to qualify for her second U.S. Open, where she made the cut. She managed not only the whole year with honor, but also the last tournament of the year, the Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España presented by OYSHO in Malaga, Spain, where she ultimately took tied 39th place.

“I am finally satisfied with the season. When I look back at the very beginning, when I started on a health exemption, I have to admit that returning to European golf after a long break and injury is not easy at all. Just getting up to speed and enduring four competitive rounds for several weeks in a row takes a lot of effort and preparation, both physically and mentally. I managed it well, also considering that I played for a card for the whole year in the first six tournaments. And I succeeded. In the end, it was 17 tournaments and 62nd place in the year-round Order of Merit ranking. My optimum, also with regard to regeneration, is 20 tournaments a year, which I almost managed. Now I can calmly focus my preparation on that and make a plan for the following year. Even though this year was sometimes up and down, both in terms of play and motivation, I am happy with the whole year. I am happy with my game and how I managed everything. I am now looking forward to 2026 even more.”

Davidson Spilková entered the season not only after a long health break, but also under the pressure of losing her card for 2025. She had only six tournaments to confirm her performance and the right to start in other Ladies European Tour events.

“The beginning of the season was the hardest. Just fighting for a card and a continuous position in the year-round ranking so that I could play other tournaments put a lot of pressure on me. But in the end, everything came together beautifully and the results not only brought me further progress, but also made me happy. In fact, only now do I realize that I played under pressure with greater ease than before. I was able to enjoy the tournaments, stay in the present and at the end of the summer play a few good results and many rounds under par. Only now do I realize how happy I am about the whole year.”

In the end, it wasn’t just the results or financial rewards, but the good feeling about herself, her game and her return to the European top that brought the Czech golfer the most joy.

“I was amazed at how easily and calmly I was able to enjoy each tournament. My body held up and so did my motivation throughout the year. I am grateful for that in a way and proud of myself. There will always be tougher times, but this season, even though it was one of the toughest, was ultimately about ease and joy. That was also my goal before the first February tournament: to take everything as it comes and deal with everything calmly. The result is a card for 2026, the opportunity to choose tournaments again and build my calendar according to myself. The opportunity to continue doing what I have loved doing all my life and to rejoice as I move forward with each step.”

Davidson Spilkova now has three weeks off before she begins preparations for the 2026 season. She will spend the pre-Christmas period at home and on a short vacation with her husband. She plans not only to regenerate, but also to work, which includes meetings with business partners and the team, and a lot of administrative tasks.

“Now I’m looking forward to December. After ten months of golf, I have a lot of personal events ahead of me, an anniversary with my husband, Christmas with my family, birthdays, meetings with friends and a short vacation. A mix of everything I haven’t had time for in a whole year, and I’m really looking forward to these moments. In January, physical and game preparation for the new season will begin. I haven’t made any resolutions for 2026 yet. I still have a lot of emotions after the final tournament. On the one hand, I would like to rest, on the other hand, I would like to start preparing immediately and not take any winter break. I have to take a breath first and deal with everything as it comes. I would actually like to continue how I managed to set everything up this year. For example, how great my entire team and surroundings work, so I can only focus on the game. I also have meetings with partners, whom I would like to personally thank for the whole season. And see you later.”
