Czech professional golfer Klára Davidson Spilková recorded her best finish of the season this week at the Lacoste Ladies Open de France in Deauville, France. She tied for ninth place, and now stands 57th in this year’s Order of Merit.

“It is once again clear that I need to play as much as possible and be under tournament pressure as often as possible. The last three weeks clearly prove it, they have been very good and the result is this weekend. It is not only the end of the rounds that are working for me – yesterday, for example, after a great front nine, I managed to maintain my concentration until the last hole. Today I had a more challenging start, but in the second half we managed to fight back and even slip into the top ten again on the last two holes. I am very happy for that.”

Spilková now has a trip to Germany for business meetings and then home to Prague. In less than two weeks, she should appear in the starting field of the LET Asian event in Delhi, India.

“I will fly to India alone and will have to hire a local caddie. I’ve heard they are good and I can rely on them. I have not been to India for eight long years, so I am really looking forward to returning. Now it is important for me to play patiently round by round and stay in the present moment.”
