It was six tournaments on a medical exemption that Czech professional Klára Davidson Spilková still had to her credit from 2024. She successfully passed the exam after a break of several months and, based on her results, secured a category 15 playing card for this year as well. We will be able to see her on the Ladies European Tour circuit almost the entire year. Her first tournament with full status will be the well-known Aramco series tournament in South Korea.
“I had six spring tournaments under medical exemption, and then my results were included in Monday’s Ladies European Tour re-ranking. Based on the results achieved, which were still counted in 2024, I managed to defend my card and can basically complete the entire 2025 season. I am happy about it, it feels good and I am looking forward to a summer full of competitive golf. The first tournament will be the non-European Aramco series event in Seoul, and then my favourite Jabra in Évian, France, and a new tournament in Tenerife will follow. I do not have as strong a playing card as last year, but during the year there are further adjustments in the ranking and I can improve my position even more. However, I will still be able to enter most of this year’s tournaments.”
Davidson Spilková does not forget about charity projects either. One of them is the annual spring ALSA charity tournament, moreover at her home course PGA National in Nebřenice near Prague.
“I have also played one tournament for a good cause as well as for fun. We are connected with Alsa not only by years of cooperation, but also by the common goal of helping patients with ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis). This year, the weather was also good for us and I believe that everyone really enjoyed the all-day tournament at my home course at the OAKS Prague resort. Charity is one of the things that I like to make time for during the year, and I look forward to it for a long time. When I look back now, I feel that everything is going according to plan and the way it should be.”
The Czech player now has two weeks of training ahead of her and then a trip halfway around the globe to South Korea. After that, the Ladies European Tour will move to Europe and the first stops for Davidson Spilková will be France and Spain.
