LIFE OF A GOLFER: on the Olympics and on running through the airport with a glove in the pocket

(Prague, 15 July 2024)The golf tournament at the Olympic Games is approaching, marking the third time since its reintroduction. Golf had been absent from the Olympic sports for 112 years before making a comeback in Rio de Janeiro, where I was also present. Initially, there wasn’t much interest among the men, with many citing the Zika virus as an excuse to enjoy a week off. Perhaps they later regretted missing out on the tournament and envied Justin Rose, Henrik Stenson and Matt Kuchar for their gold, silver, and bronze medals.
