Klára Davidson Spilková is not leaving Saudi Arabia disappointed. Quite the opposite. Despite the fact that she did not make it to the final round and finished deep in the field, she sees a shift in her game and a number of positives. She even ended the second round of the Ladies European Tour PIF Saudi Ladies International with an impressive streak of three birdies on the last five holes. She again made two like last week on the par 3 holes, where it’s all about feeling and accuracy.

“Despite the fact that everything did not go according to my expectations, I see a number of positives in my game and a reason for optimism for the upcoming tournaments. That’s how I perceive it, and these two tournament rounds I’ve just played showed me what I still need to work on now. I know that I tried my best, so I take it and accept it as reality.”

On Sunday, Davidson Spilková returns together with her husband to Prague, where she should spend two weeks preparing for a series of three tournaments on the eastern coast of Australia. She will travel to the tournaments on her own at the beginning of March.

“I’ve got a few gym sessions planned now to keep fit, and according to the weather forecast I’ll probably be flying to Spain. I would like to play there this weekend and train on grass. This is followed by my trip to Australia, where I will play three tournaments in a row and in a place I already know. Even if we will be playing on other courses, the landscape and nature there is beautiful. I’m really looking forward to it there and I believe it will be three beautiful weeks in nice surroundings and warm weather and I’ll play a lot of golf. I will have the space to focus only on what I need to do.”

The PIF Saudi Ladies International was also the last time Davidson Spilkova was accompanied by her husband Sean as a caddy. For Australia and South Africa, she will use the services of local caddies.
