Czech professional golfer Klára Davidson Spilková has the final third of her non-European tour ahead of her. She will play the last two planned tournaments in South Africa, where she moved directly from Perth, Australia.

“In the end, I decided to stay in Australia and not fly home. I flew from Sydney to Perth, where I was able to play and train in the heat and on quality courses. I evaluate the last Ford Women’s NSW Open tournament positively. I played all four rounds and once again confirmed how important it is to play as much as possible under tournament pressure. I played consistently all weekend. The third round was the best for me, when I managed to score well. I feel that I am moving in the right direction. It is precisely these moments that give me much-needed energy and push me forward.”

Davidson Spilková will now play two tournaments in South Africa. The first of these will be the Joburg Ladies Open at Modderfontein Golf Club near Johannesburg. She last played there two years ago, when she finished tied for 4th.

“The course is the same as it was two years ago when I last played here. It’s parkland, narrower and quite technical, which might suit me. It’s a bit wet now because it’s been raining a lot and the forecast says more rain. I’ve already met the local caddie – he’s really nice and seems to know the course well. Everything is coming together nicely, I feel good and I’m really looking forward to getting on the first tee on Thursday and having some fun together.”

Davidson Spilková will start on Thursday, April 3, from hole no. 10 at 8:14 a.m. local time. She will be joined in the group for the first two rounds by Frenchwoman Perrine Delacour and Italian Alessandra Fanali. The Joburg Ladies Open tournament is played over four rounds and ends on Sunday, April 6, 2025.
