The London Aramco Team Series is part of a mini-series where teams of three professionals and one drawn amateur compete. Klára Davidson Spilková will once again captain her team, vying for a $1 million prize, equally split between teams and best performing individuals. Due to the overlap with Wimbledon and the Formula 1 race in Silverstone, the tournament will be unconventionally held from Wednesday to Friday, 3-5 July, like last year on the Centurion Club course in St. Albans in the suburbs of London.

“I know the Centurion course well and I think it suits my game. The first holes are located among trees, and the rest is in the open. The wind might play a role again. It was quite a battle last year due to poor weather. This year, the course is very hard due to drought, and especially shots from the tee tend to travel a lot on the fairways. It became clear to me after the first practice nine, so I played completely different, with shorter clubs to the green. The key will be approach shots to the elevated and wavy greens, as well as knowledge of the bunker locations and their surroundings. The course is in a great shape, but it will be an interesting test for all of us before the Olympic tournament in Paris,” Davidson Spilková described the Centurion course and conditions near London.

July is the only month of the year in London promising summer weather with the least amount of rainfall. Perhaps for this reason, most of the biggest sports events take place within just two weeks.

Another Czech Olympian, Sára Kousková, will start alongside Spilková at the tournament, completed by Kristýna Napoleaová, Jana Melichová and Tereza Melecká.
