Initially, there wasn’t much interest among the men, with many citing the Zika virus as an excuse to enjoy a week off. Perhaps they later regretted missing out on the tournament and envied Justin Rose, Henrik Stenson and Matt Kuchar for their gold, silver, and bronze medals.

On Sunday, the Czech number one achieved the second-best score of the entire starting field at the Dormy Open, scoring three birdies in a row on the last three holes of both nines in Sweden. Despite starting from one of the last places in the second early-morning group, five strokes under par moved Davidson Spilková up to a tied 21st place.
